Literary Journeys Along Passaic River's Great Falls

¥ 2800

Come explore one of Paterson's hidden gems - a notable site that was featured in Jim Jarmusch's film. The film was loosely based on Paterson's very own native and notable poet, William Carlos Williams. The Great Falls are a spectacular waterfall that stand at 23 meters high on the Passaic River in Paterson. Surrounding the falls are a National Historic Park. This is one of the largest waterfalls in the United States and they were formed approximately 13,000 years ago. Lenape Native Americans originally settled on the site before Dutch settlers moved in during the 1690’s.
